Casa Campana: Guest comments

Over the years the house has played host to hundreds of guests. Here is a selection of comments from just a few of them.

After visiting the website, I came to Casa Campana from Singapore with some friends. It was all that I had hoped for - and more. Look! Jim lent TK his guitar - TK LOVES playing the guitar. Speaking of music, we all enjoyed the Flamenco CDs Jim and Emma provided for us in the apartment. Joycelyn, Singapore

Very welcoming hosts, fabulous location. Jim and Emma went out of their way to help me understand the local area. Though I only stayed at Casa Campana a couple of nights, I felt quite integrated into the local community because Jim and Emma, who speak excellent Spanish and know lots of people, acted as a 'bridge' between me and the locals. In the lovely streets of Arcos we enjoyed following the special tour Emma and Jim had written. Living between two churches, a view at the lake and the hills on the other side was just what we needed, coming from our hectic lives in Amsterdam. We really felt like citizens of Arcos for six days.

I'm at my desk again. Did that weekend really happen? ... Pinch me!!! Getting on that aircraft yesterday was one of the hardest things I've done in a long time!!!! Choosing to shut yourself up in a little travel capsule and wave goodbye to 26 degrees!!! .. it's just not natural!!! We had a fantastic time, so big THANK YOU to you both. Annie and Dave, Cornwall
