| View of the San Miguel Bridge and beyond. The bridge was opened in 1920 after the Stone Bridge was severely damaged by flood in 1917. In those three intervening years the locals used an improvised raft in order to cross the river! The horses' carts on show belonged to a manufacturer whose shop is just out of shot, to the left. Can you see the half dozen white cave houses on the hill, just above the bridge? Hover your mouse over the scene to see how it looks today! |
