Looking over the rooftops and beyond into the country. The church in the middle of the shot is that of St. Augustus. The road running down the left remains the only one out of the Old Quarter down towards the 'Barrio Bajo', which roughly translated means Lower Town.

These photographs were taken by Víctor Marín in the 1940s and 1950s.
