| Cuesta de Belén, literally Bethlehem Hill, was named after a chapel which existed until 1852, when the Jerez Gate which housed it was taken down. Apart from the Matrera Gate the Jerez Gate was the only way in and out of Arcos de la Frontera. The Matrera Gate still survives. Hover your mouse over the scene to see how it looks today! |
